Product Description

VOLT® Ground Hog PAR36 Well Light

VOLT's® Ground Hog Well Light is great for an assortment of uplighting applications like building, signs, tress, etc. Perfect substitution for a spotlight where an in ground fixture is desired. Low profile fixture keeps the fixture from view but results in highly effective lighting. Truly the most affordable high intensity lighting fixture on the market. Uses a standard PAR36 lamp up to 35w. VOLT's® Ground Hog will not disappoint!

1. Open design well lights (and well lights in general) should not be installed in locations where they can become filled or covered by leaves, pine needles or debris. They should be installed in regularly maintained areas to insure they are free and clear of debris. Failure to do so can result in dangerous overheating, premature lamp or fixture failure and even risk the possibility of a fire.

2. Do not use a debris cover with any halogen lamps over 35 watts or it can cause dangerous overheating. Halogen wattage's above 35 watts in this fixture require the fixture to be open and well maintained to dissipate the heat. With LED PAR 36 heat is no longer an issue.

3. In a professional design, it is rare to need more than 35 watts of illumination 50 watts and above leads to hot spots from a design perspective and over heating for fixtures. If you need more light than 35 watts, you likely need more fixtures, not more wattage. However with our LED par 36 you can now get much more light from a single fixture at a fraction of the cost.

Ground Hog PAR36 Well light review August 29, 2016
Reviewer: ton le from sterling, VA United States
I bought 16 solid copper spot lights and 3 Moon down lights, total 133 watts, it works great.  Tried to save money and ordered 4 Ground Hog PAR36 Well Light, it does not work as expected and consumed additional 140 watts.  Bought additional 11 solid copper spot lights to replace Ground hog

Nice lights for the money spent July 22, 2015
Reviewer: Z. Lindsay from North Royalton, OH United States
Nice lights and happy with the results.  Purchased 10 with the 35w halogen lamps and there is plenty of light to light up trees and the house.  The directions included with the fixture are a little confusing and had to place 3 phone calls to tech support to make sure the fixture was setup correctly.  There is a extra stainless steel piece that doesn't need to be used and was confused as to what is was for. It wasn't needed and saved them if an extra lens is added.

After some bending, the stainless steel lamp holder has a firm hold.

House and trees look great and the neighbors have taken notice of the added beautification of the landscape.

I would definitely buy again!

Difficult to assemble April 3, 2013
Reviewer: Mirelyme from Atlanta GA
Price was right so I took a chance. Light was a bit difficult to assemble as instructions were not clear.  Light is not affixed to holder and bulb can slide up and down requiring adjustment.  Working perfectly right now but we'll see how it performs over time but at this price you have to give it a try.
