Landscape Lighting World just came back from Phoenix where we exhibited at the annual meeting for Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP). If you are a contractor and install outdoor lighting, you should join. The association was created for you. You will get a chance to network, learn, promote and be at the center of your craft. In addition to receiving from the association, you will be contributing to enhancing your industry. Its mission is to "establish standards, educate industry professionals and increase awareness of the outdoor lighting industry."

The organization recently changed it name from Low Voltage Lighting Institute of the America's (LVILA) to the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP) to reflect the broader market than low voltage landscape lighting.

Who should join the AOLP? Contractors, designers, electricians, architects, and anyone involved with selling, installing, buying or designing outdoor lighting. Other members include distributors and manufacturers. Lastly it is not limited to low voltage landscape lighting. Whether it be outdoor lighting, line voltage, HID, mercury vapor, LED, solar, garden, yard light, lights or fixtures, transformers, cable, or bulbs. This is your organization.
