A.In January 2014, the US Government mandated a phase-out of traditional incandescent bulbs, meaning companies could no longer produce or import 40-watt and 60-watt bulbs, following similar restrictions on 75-watt and 100-watt bulbs over the last two years.
LED bulbs, or light emitting diodes, are extremely efficient and durable, with an expected life of 50,000 hours. LEDs are “directional” light sources, which means they emit light in a specific direction, unlike incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs, which emit light and heat in all directions. For this reason, LED lighting is able to use light and energy more efficiently in many applications.

Q.What is the difference between CFL or “Curly Que” bulbs v/s LED bulbs?
A.While high quality traditional bulbs can last up to a year and high quality CFL or “Curly Que” bulbs can last a bit longer, VOLT® bulbs are engineered to last over 40 years, which makes the chore of changing those hard to reach light bulbs a thing of the past. CFL bulbs contain harmful chemicals, and if broken are a chore to clean properly and safely. VOLT® LED Bulbs are built with sturdy components to withstand the roughest conditions.

We also deliver on Saturdays* (At no additional cost for residential/non-commercial addresses). Any residential delivery scheduled to arrive on a Monday based on the map below, will now arrive 2 days earlier on Saturday! We offer residential delivery on Saturdays to most locations at no additional cost. Most residential deliveries scheduled to arrive on a Monday will now arrive 2 days earlier on Saturday! Our multiple shipping facilities eliminate the need to pay extra for express shipping under most circumstances. However, FedEx Overnight® and 2Day® shipping is still available and can be selected at checkout for customers needing their items sooner than standard FedEx Ground can deliver (see map above for details). All Overnight® or 2Day® orders must be received before 5pm EST regardless of shipping destination.
We require $1,000 USD order minimum (before shipping charges) on first time orders and a $500 USD order minimum (before shipping charges) on all future orders with an established account.
The recipient of an international shipment is responsible for any import taxes, duties, and any additional fees levied by the destination country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict these costs. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. Contact your local customs office for further information. When custom clearance procedures are required it can cause further delays in shipment. Due to high shipping costs/duties, international customers are responsible for shipping on warrantied replacements, returns, and/or exchanges.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
If there is a discrepancy with your order that is deemed to be caused by VOLT® (e.g., wrong item or quantity, or defective), VOLT® will pay for any shipping costs associated with order resolution. Many of our products are made of heavy-duty materials and as a result weigh a lot. Weight is the primary factor in estimating shipping charges calculated by FedEx, and with larger orders, weight can total hundreds of pounds. To help offset some of this cost, we pass on our high-volume FedEx discount to you.

The fine print:
If any VOLT® LED bulb fails for any reason during the lifetime of the purchaser VOLT® will replace it with a new VOLT® LED bulb matching both the look, feel and intended use of the bulb being replaced. While VOLT® agrees to cover the cost of shipping the warranty placement bulb back to the consumer the consumer is responsible for the shipping cost of any non-working bulb back to VOLT®'s warranty center in Tampa Bay Florida.
