Replaces 50w lamps. 640 Lumens -- 50w equivalent in light output and brighter than retrofit LED bulbs.
9 watt LED but replaces a 50w halogen ~ 80% ENERGY SAVINGS.
2800K Warm White. They really look exactly like Halogen (not that blue white or stark white). The Infiniti 50 LED Landscape Light is 2800K color temperature which is the same pleasing warm white light color most people prefer.
60+ degree beam angle -- wide flood. Additionally the optics on the Infiniti 50 produces soft, diffused edges for smooth and even lighting. The optics are much like a frosted lens on an mr16 would produce. Because there is not an abrupt edge of light like an MR16, for practical purposes contractors will find the beam spread to act more like 70 degrees. Great for wall washing, flood lighting and general up lighting of trees, houses, etc..
40,000 hr L70. Will retain 70% of its brightness even after 40,000 hours (about 20 years if used 5 hours a night).
Unlike retrofit LED Bulbs, the VOLT® Infiniti 50 in an integrated LED outdoor lighting fixture. The fixture was designed from the ground up to be an LED fixture and has the components built-in and is able to use the entire fixture as a heat sink. The driver is built into the back of the fixture, the LEDs in the front, with heat dissipating fins in between them.
With an Integrated LED fixture, the driver and components are built into the fixture. This enables the heat from the driver to be located away from the silicon chips (LED Diodes) and use the large brass fixture as a heat sink. This enables the heat sensitive LED Diodes to run cooler which means better efficiency, higher lumen light output and most importantly LONGER LIFE.
All silicon chips (like LEDs and computer chips) fail if they get too hot.
The glass lens is etched thinner at the edges so than when we install it in the fixture the glass sits higher than the surrounding brass edges. This way even when aimed straight up water cannot puddle on the lens or collect at the seams.
There is silicon where the lead wires exit the fixture. The knuckle has rubber o-rings, sealing the adjustment knuckle so insects and even moisture can not enter. The fixture is solid cast brass unlike many other integrated LED fixtures which are predominately aluminum. VOLT® decided "If we are going to make an integrated LED fixture that is supposed to last 20+ years without changing a bulb -- the fixture needs to last even longer without the slightest leak or failure." Everything about the fixture screams quality and craftsmanship with "No Compromises." The VOLT® Infiniti LED Outdoor Light fixtures are our heaviest, best built, most refined fixture we have ever built. They are hands down impressive quality.
Complete sealed with an IP Rating of 65. (Ingress Protection Rating. The first number is for solids and is a scale from 1-6 with 6 being the highest. It means even the smallest dust partials cannot enter the fixture over time. The second number stands for the water intrusion rating. The "5" means that even when the fixture was tested with pressurized water jets there was no water intrusion).
Do NOT use this fixture as a downlight or aim the fixture downwards. The IP rating and its ability to keep water out is based on being used as an uplight. When you aim this (or any uplight) downwards, water can and WILL leak down the lead wire or knuckle and into the fixture. Improper mounting will void the warranty.
IMPORTANT *** All VOLT® LED fixtures and retrofit bulbs must be used with magnetic transformers such as our VOLT® transformers (they are not compatible with electronic transformers). They must be used with AC (they are not compatible with DC voltage). They will operate properly anywhere between 10-18 volts (AC). Failure to comply with any of these factors so will destroy the fixture or lamp and void the warranty.
